ABOUT

American tenor Micah Perry has been praised for his light, natural, and agile voice. This year, Mr. Perry will be a Jan Miller Studio Artist at Pensacola Opera, singing the roles of Don Basilio, Curzio, and Beppe in their mainstage productions. Last summer he was a Wolf Trap Opera Studio member, covering Apollo in Handel's Semele. He recently graduated from Baylor University with his M.M. in Vocal Performance. There, he performed in roles such as Martin in The Tender Land, Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi, and more. Mr. Perry was previously a member of the Manetti Shrem Opera Program at Festival Napa Valley covering Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore and has been a part of Music On Site Inc.'s 2021 and 2022 seasons singing Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors and Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte. This year he has performed the roles of Basilio and Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro with Landlocked Opera, Second Priest in Eccles’ Semele with American Baroque Opera, Remendado in Carmen with Austin Opera, and covered Beppe in Austin Opera’s production of Pagliacci. He was recently seen as Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Dr. Blind in Die Fledermaus at the Quisisana Resort's 2024 Season.
