MICAH PERRY, TENOR
Biography
Praised for his light and agile sound, American Tenor Micah Perry enjoys a versatile career as an opera and consort singer. Mr. Perry is currently a Jan Miller Studio Artist at Pensacola Opera where he will perform as Don Basilio and Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro and Beppe in Pagliacci. He made his Austin Opera debut last season as Remendado in Carmen. Other season highlights include Don Basilio and Don Curzio with Landlocked Opera and Third Priest in Eccles' Semele with American Baroque Opera. Recent roles include Apollo (Semele, cover) at Wolf Trap Opera, Beppe (Pagliacci, cover) at Austin Opera, Ernesto (Don Pasquale), and Javier (Luisa Fernanda).

Mr. Perry was a member of the Manetti Shrem Opera Academy at Festival Napa Valley in 2022 covering Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore. He has also spent multiple seasons with Music On Site Inc. singing the roles of Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte and King Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Micah received his Master's degree in Voice Performance from Baylor University and his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from South Dakota State University. At Baylor, he performed the roles of Martin in The Tender Land, Gherardo in Gianni Schicci, Duke in Patience, and Bellerose in Monsieur et Madame Denis.
